Given the record volume of business, the ongoing pandemic, and a new regulatory regime, the broking industry has had to work harder than ever to help borrowers access finance. Mint Equity is pleased to announce that Director & Finance Broker, Zac Peteh has been named as a finalist in the Australian Broking Awards 2021 for Finance Broker of the Year.
The Finance Broker of the Year award category acknowledges the growing customer push towards holistic servicing and recognised the broker best servicing the non-mortgage needs of the clients.
When preparing the submission for the award, it was clear that the approach that Zac has with his clients is all about ensuring the client is supported throughout the lending process, not just from an application perspective, but from a holistic level whereby the client feels educated, confident and empowered. This is particularly important for first home buyers or buyers who have been out of the property market for some time.
Innovation can be found in old fashioned ways
One of the questions for the award submission was around innovation and how that has impacted business growth.
Innovation doesn’t always have to come from new technology, faster approvals or cost cutting systems. We’ve actually found innovation by looking backwards in time, to how businesses used to be run and operated. 20 or 30 years ago, businesses relied on good old fashioned customer service, word of mouth and expert knowledge. Today in our industry there is a tendency to use technology to replace human contact. We’ve gone the other way, and Zac has focused on a relationship model which we believe is innovative than following the trend of online models.
National awards program is the pinnacle event for recognising talent in the Australian broking industry
