We might be a little biased given the directors of Mint Equity grew up on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, but this beautiful region is rebounding from the property downturn with several Northern Beaches suburbs featuring in the top 10 most in demand.

The Northern Beaches is not only beautiful, but the regional exudes an envious lifestyle. Beach, eat, sleep, repeat. With great schools, oodles of stunning beaches, work opportunities, carefree and relaxed people, it’s not hard to see why people want to live on the Northern Beaches. The region did experience a downturn in property prices over the last 18months given the area has high median house prices. It was an area that experienced ‘crazy Sydney prices’ in the peak and needed to calm down a little. Now that prices have dropped, the Northern Beaches is ripe for snapping up a lifestyle at more reasonable prices.

The Northern Beaches is known as the ‘insular peninsular’ given the transport issues to other areas of Sydney and that residents love the area so much that they don’t want to leave. Essentially, once you’re living on the beaches, getting a bus to Sydney’s CBD can be a painful experience, particularly if you live down the northern end around Palm Beach, Avalon or Newport.

The Northern Beaches doesn’t have a train line, so getting in and out can only be done by car, bus or ferry. The ultimate is to live and work on the Northern Beaches so you don’t have to commute to the city, crossing Spit Bridge and spending frustrating hours in traffic jams on Spit Road or Warringah Road.
